5 Star Cat Boarding Facility

The Deloraine Cattery is a luxurious holiday retreat for cats situated on 2.5 acres of peaceful park like grounds. Close to Whangarei city and handy to the Onerahi airport, this 5 star cat boarding facility offers the finest accommodation and care for cats at affordable prices.

The Deloraine Cattery is a purpose built cat boarding facility designed with cats in mind. A lot of care and thought went into the planning and construction of this facility, from the raised concrete floors, the double door systems on all exits and entry points, the amplimesh security screens on all doors, windows, and outdoor areas; and the alarms in and around the facility. For the comfort of our guests the building is fully insulated, and heated during the winter months, while the covered verandahs help keep it cool over summer.

We clean their rooms each day in the morning, wiping all surfaces, changing litter trays and food dishes, sweeping and mopping. While we're cleaning our resident's room they're able to go for a walk in the secure hallway saying "Hello" to all the other resident guests. We feed our resident guests twice daily and are happy to administer any medicines at an additional charge. We ask you bring your own cat food.

When you make your booking at the Deloraine Cattery, your cat will be automatically booked into a private room. If there is an overlap in drop off and pickup times and a private room isn't available immediately, your cat may stay part of its time in an indoor only private room. Currently, the communal room is only open over the Christmas and New Year period. 

Private Rooms

Our private rooms have an indoor living area with 24 hour access to a fully secure private verandah, and are suitable for up to three cats sharing from the same family. We have climbing frames and chairs on all the verandahs, so our feline guests can relax and enjoy the sun and bird watch.

The room rate is $20 for one cat and $36 for two cats and $54 for 3 cats from the same family sharing the same room. GST additional if applicable. 

Indoor Rooms

Our indoor only rooms are suitable for up to two cats from the same family.  They do not have access to an outdoor area. However, each room can see out the window. There is an option for your cat to enjoy the communal room, but have their own larger room at night.

The room rate is $20 for one cat and $36 for two cats sharing the same room. GST additional if applicable.

Communal Room

Our large communal room, is suitable for multiple cats to share the indoor and outdoor areas together. When cats first arrive we put them in their own room to observe the other cats from a secure vantage point. Then we invite them to come out and mix and mingle. Most cats get on well together as it is neutral territory. However, if they don't for whatever reason, we move them to a larger private room. So, rest assured we always have your cat's interest at heart.
